Zalto is an independent, family-run glassmaker with roots in the northern Waldviertel of Austria. Its glasses are made by hand, by a team of eight sharing the stages of the work.

Only the bowl is blown into a mould; the rest of the glass is shaped free-hand. A sommelier notices the difference the first time they pour into one.
