Every course place is sold through the Court’s own website. This article sets out the 2026 fees for each level in the UK, and explains what each one pays for.
The figures below are course and examination fees. Prices vary a little from place to place, and the article explains how fees work outside the UK.
01The 2026 fees, level by level
These are the fees for 2026 courses in the UK, as listed against each course date. The same figures appear on the Court’s page of current course prices.
The Introductory costs £695 for the course and examination together. The Certified costs £325, and it is an examination only, with no coursework. The Advanced costs £1,100 for the course and examination, and the Court also lists an Advanced examination on its own at £650. The Master Sommelier Diploma examination costs £1,500.
02What each fee covers
The fees follow the shape of each level. The Introductory and Advanced include teaching, so their fees cover both the course and the examination. The Certified and the Master Sommelier Diploma are examinations only, so their fees cover the examination.
