The Court of Master Sommeliers now has a study portal of its own. It brings the Sommelier book and the Court’s syllabus notes together, prepared for Introductory and Certified candidates.
This is a tour of what is inside. Nothing here replaces a course or an examination. It is a place to read, test and practise between them.
01More content, more access
The Court announced the step in a simple line: more content, more access, built for its community. Its courses, its examinations, its history and its community are the things it set out to share.
The study portal belongs to that same digital step. Its home page describes it as the Sommelier book and the syllabus notes, made digital.
Anyone can look inside before paying. A free account opens a small, fixed taste: the opening of Chapter 1, five real questions, three spoken words and one map. A membership opens everything at once.
02What is behind each door
The top bar keeps the main rooms close: Home, Read, Reference, Maps, Glossary, Say it and Quiz. A search button sits in the same bar, and on a phone the rooms fold into icons.
- Read: every page of the book as an article, chapter by chapter, exactly as printed.
- Presentations: every chapter as a deck, marked to your level, from the syllabus and the book together.
- Quiz: questions written from the book, each with the reasoning.
- Maps: the book’s own plates, zoomable to the appellations.
- Glossary: every term in the book, in one place.
