The member card is a digital card from the Court of Master Sommeliers. It carries your name, the examinations you passed and the years you earned them, and where you work, at your own address on the Court’s portal.
Every card is reviewed by the Court before it goes live. Every card also carries a code, so a manager, a recruiter or a guest can scan it to check that it is real.
01What the card shows
Each card has its own page at an address in your name on the Court’s portal. It is meant as one link for your CV, your Instagram and your LinkedIn.
With the card comes a share studio: four engraved images, one for each place you share, each carrying your name, your certifications, your address and the code that verifies you. Every image is engraved fresh from your card, so it is always current, and there is a button to share your page on LinkedIn. Your email address is never shown.
When you pass your next examination, you add the year, and it appears once the Court confirms it. The card follows your career.
02Who can apply, and what the Court checks
Anyone with an account on the portal can apply, and the card is free. Every card must be approved by the Court of Master Sommeliers, Europe, whose chapter covers Europe, Africa, Oceania and Asia.
The Court verifies your name and the examinations you passed with that chapter, against its register. It does not verify your position, workplace, experience, story or links. Those are shown in your own words.
